The Asian Institute of Transport Development (AITD) invites application for its internship programme.
Internship Programme seeks to engage students pursuing graduate/post graduate degrees or are research scholars enrolled in recognized university/institution within India or abroad, as ‘Interns’. The programme shall enhance the capabilities of the internees who desire to specialize in the field of transportation and logistics.
The internee would be given exposure to various aspects of transport sector. They are expected to take up an assignment on any topic of their choice relating to transport sector with a view to contributing towards research and analysis efforts of the Institute in the sector.
Who can apply
Anyone who is pursuing graduate/post graduate degrees or are research scholars enrolled in recognized university/institution within India or abroad can apply.

Set up in 1989 in pursuance of the recommendations of the National Transport Policy Committee (NTPC), is an independent, not-for-profit organization devoted to capacity building, non-partisan research and regional cooperation in infrastructure sector with special focus on transport, trade and logistics. The Institute aims at promoting balanced, efficient, equitable and sustainable development. It also fosters regional cooperation and partnership, promotes human resource development and harmonisation of technologies for enhancing welfare.
The Institute has received recognition and endorsement at international, regional and national levels as a centre of excellence. The Institute has been granted special consultative status by the United Nations. This status is accorded to select organizations that have the necessary expertise, recognized standing within the particular field of their competence and have the capacity to assist the work of the United Nations.
