Road Sector

The training on “Transport Policy and Planning Framework” was conducted by the AITD for engineers drawn from the Bihar Rural Works Department. The objective was to equip the participants with an overview of principles, governing transport policies and planning relating to various modes of transport and enhancing transparency and governance in implementation of rural road projects at state level. Strategies on climate resilient and environmentally optimized design were also brought out. Aspects requiring attention on enhanced safety on rural roads were deliberated by experts.
